Summer at the Arlberg :)
In summer all the hustle and bustle of the ski season is gone leaving the small village feel but with the infrastructure and facilities of a wold class ski resort. This combination of facilities, peaceful village and stunning mountain scenery makes the Arlberg the perfect place to come and relax while you forget the stresses of everyday life.
As soon as you start out along one of the well signed footpaths you will become immersed in the natural beauty and not only see but also feel the majesty and power of our wonderful mountains.
The weather can be a surprise to first time visitors as it can vary from bright blue cloudless skies with scorching sunshine to being cool, but regardless of the weather there is always something to enjoy.
There are walks and mountain tracks to suit all, so whether you want to just sit back and admire the scenery, look for alpine flowers, fungi, birds, wildlife, take a gentle stroll, a vigorous hike or go for a mountain bike ride (local hire of mountain and electric bikes available) there is bound to be something for you.
Many of the ski lifts run during the summer so you can explore the high mountains without all the hard work. Other activities you can try include playing tennis, rafting, jogging and swimming. The St. Anton Wellness Centre has indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool, steam room, saunas, massage, tanning and beauty facilities and more. There are also many local cultural and sports events which you are welcome to join in.
If you want any ideas, information or advice, just ask – we are here to help.
St. Anton - Skier's paradise
That people refer to the Arlberg as the Mecca for skiing is no surprise. The Arlberg offers a vast and stunning ski area with perfectly prepared pistes to suit all levels of skier.
The Arlberg has miles of pistes varying from the easy to the very challenging, mogul runs, breath taking deep powder runs and many other options to enjoy the snow with and without your skis or snowboard. Beginners are also well catered for with, easy to access, nursery slopes to give you a safe and fun introduction to the joys of skiing.
As well as our world famous downhill pistes there are miles of maintained cross-country ski runs including routes through the stunning Verwall valley.
Whether you are already an experienced skier or just starting out the Arlberg will meet and exceed all your expectations.
If you don't want to ski or just fancy a change the Arlberg has plenty to offer. You can go ice skating, curling, play tennis, play skittles or try the toboggan run (which is floodlit so the fun can continue into the evening).
St. Anton is rightfully proud of it's Wellness Spa which has outdoor and indoor pools (both open in winter), kids' pool, massage, gym, beauty and tanning facilities, steam bath, five different types of saunas, infrared cabin and a multifunctional hall used for a variety of events.
